Folarin Balogun is all set to join Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in a transfer that will be worth €40 million according to Fabrizio Romano.
Monaco has been after the forward for a while now and they have finally reached an agreement with Arsenal for the USA striker.
While the final few details are yet to be sorted, all parties are confident about the deal worth €40m plus add-on.
The Ligue 1 side have been in the market for a striker since the transfer window opened and they have been linked with a lot of players.
However, Folarin Balogun seems to stand out as their number one target and they have reached an agreement to sign the 22-year-old.
Futballnews understands that they made a move to sign the player in recent past and even submitted a bid worth €40 million.
But Arsenal revealed that the amount did not meet their valuation of the player whom they reportedly placed at €50 million.
AS Monaco remained confident of signing the USA forward despite their bid being rejected and the player desiring the move to France.
Folarin Balogun is set to sign a five-year deal with the French club as he looks to take his care to the next level after a successful loan spell at Stade Reims last season.
The striker, 22, has been at the Emirates since his childhood days and he worked his way up the ranks and even made it to their first team last summer.
He fell down the pecking order at Arsenal, with boss Mikel Arteta sending him on loan so he can get enough playing minutes.
But despite his heroics for the French club, Arteta cannot ensure him a place in his squad and now he will join AS Monaco.
