Feyernood boss, Arne Slot is set to become new Tottenham manager after Antonio Conte exited the club.
Tottenham have been in search of a new hand in the club’s dugout after they terminated Antonio Conte’s contract on mutual agreement.
According to De Telegraaf, Feyernood manager, Arne Slot, 44, is set to become Tottenham’s new manager.
The report adds Arne Slot has accepted to become Tottenham manager but talks are still progressing between the two parties.
Meanwhile, he still has a year remaining in his Feyernood contract. Feyernood want to keep him after his Eredivisie success this season but may be tempted to let him go if his £6m release clause is met by Tottenham.
Slot won the Eredivisie this season with Feyernood. He reached Europa Conference League final last year in his first season with the club and has been deemed as one of most promising Dutch managers. Hence, he has been tipped to be a perfect fit to upturn Tottenham’s recent misfortunes.
His imminent move to Tottenham is a big step in his career. However, it is still unclear whether he will be able to replicate his success at AZ Alkmaar and Feyernood at Tottenham.
Who is Arne Slot?
Arne Slot is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is currently the manager of Eredivisie side, Feyernood.
In his career as a football player, Arne Slot played as a midfielder for top clubs in Netherlands. He had the entirety of his career in the Netherlands from 1995 to 2013.
Slot started his youth career at FC Zwolle before making his first senior club appearance for the club in 1995. He made 164 appearances for the club, scoring 50 goals in his seven years stint.
Arne Slot joined NAC Breda in 2002 from FC Zwolle, and went ahead to make 142 appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals.
After five years at NAC Breda, He joined Sparta Rotterdam in 2007, making 54 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals.

Arne Slot began his managerial career with another top Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar in July, 2019. He took charge of 58 games with AZ Alkmaar, winning 32, drawing 16, and losing 10. He had a win percentage of 55.17%.
Arne Slot point per game with AZ Alkmaar was 2.11 – the highest PPG by any AZ Alkmaar coach in the club’s history. However, he was sacked on December, 2020 when reports emerged he negotiated a deal with Feyernood while still under contract at AZ Alkmaar.
He was appointed Feyernood manager in 2021. At Feyernood, Arne Slot has taken charge of 198 games, winning 97, drawing 36, and losing 25. He has a win percent of 61.39%.
