Shandong Luneng midfielder Marouane Fellaini has dismissed transfer rumors linking to a move to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in January.
The former Manchester United, who now plies his trade in the Chinese Super League, left England in February after the sack of the Portuguese last year December. Before the pair left Old Trafford, they formed a close working relationship which resulted in Fellaini coming to rescue United in crucial games during Mourinho’s era.
During his five and a half years at Manchester United, Fellaini won four trophies, including the League Cup and Europa League during Mourinho’s first season in charge in 2016/17.

But Fellaini’s current deal with Shandong Luneng runs for another two years. The 32-year-old has also impressed in his first season in China, netting seven goals and adding a further four assists over 22 games.
Speaking to Eleven Sports, Fellaini said that he has no plan to leave China and move back to the Premier League with the North London club. The Belgian added that he is still in close contact with Mourinho.
He said: “Jose is special for me. “We text each other, we call each other from time to time.
“He’s taken over at Spurs and he’s doing well. I wish him all the best, but I am good where I am now.”
The midfielder who was known for his curly hair helped Shandong Luneng reach the Chinese FA Cup final. However, his team was defeated by Shanghai Shenhua. Also, he helped the team to the last 14 stages of the AFC Champions League. The Jinan-based club is currently fifth in the CSL with two games remaining.
