The English Football Association is investigating the incident that happened at Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal fans were throwing bottles at Manchester City captain Kevin De Bruyne.

Even though Arsenal fans threw things at Kevin De Bruyne, the Belgian smiled back at the Arsenal fans to compound their woes.

The Belgian was targeted by the Arsenal fans after he was substituted in the second half of Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League.

In addition, he is believed not to be hurt by Arsenal fans’ ugly behavior because he has helped his team return to the summit of the Premier League, where they belong.

The referee in charge, Anthony Taylor, mentioned it in his match report after the match. The North London club are also planning to investigate the incident. The club will check the CCTV to pick out those who were responsible for it.

They are likely to sanction those people and ban them from coming to the Emirate Stadium again. It is not acceptable and should not be tolerated anywhere on the pitch.

Kevin De Bruyne had an impressive performance against Arsenal, where he scored after a Takehiro Tomiyasu error and created a goal for Erling Haaland in the second half.

After the incident, Kevin De Bruyne posted a picture of himself via his Instagram page with the caption “Beers, anyone?”

However, Kevin De Bruyne was also in the headlines for another reason after he pushed former Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta for stopping him from getting the ball quickly.

Both individuals spent two and a half years at the club together before Arteta left for Arsenal. Arteta and Kevin De Bruyne won different titles at Manchester City.

Manchester City’s return to the top of the Premier League table is a real confidence booster for them; they need to get to that position, and Guardiola has a feeling of winning his fifth Premier League title in the sixth season.

Arsenal, on the other hand, sit in second place after playing a match less than Manchester City. The outstanding North London match is going to be against Everton at the Emirate stadium on March 1, 2023.

The title race is going to be one of the most interesting because Manchester United are also in it with 46 points. Arsenal still haven’t met Manchester City in the Citizen stadium.

The North London side still has to face Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle. Arteta should make sure his players are fit and ready to go.

The manager should get at least 12 points from all the big matches in order to have any hope of winning the league. This chance of winning the league may never come Arsenal’s way never again, if they lose this one.

The last time they won the league was in 2004 as the “invincibles,” but now it is looking difficult.
