The former Cameroon International right-back has spurred controversy over his recent divorce filing against his wife of 12 years, Toukam Fotso Verline.
The couple’s marriage, once seen as an image of love and stability, has reportedly crumbled under the weight of horrible revelations that have sent shockwaves through the Cameroonian media landscape.
In a shocking revelation detailed in court documents collected exclusively by Cameroon News Agency and as reported by Mimimemofo Infos, Njitap declares a series of confusing events that have led to the end of his marriage to Toukam Fotso Laure Verline, the daughter of the late Cameroonian billionaire, Fotso Victor.
Among the most shocking statements is Njitap’s declaration that the twins the couple welcomed in 2008 are for the wife’s ex-husband, as previously believed.
Geremi claims that a DNA test disclosed that the twins are the offspring of his wife’s previous lover, a disclosure that has stunned fans and followers around the world.
According to court documents collected by the aforementioned outlet, is Toukam Fotso Laure Verline’s alleged dishonesty regarding the paternity of their twin children.
The twins in question were born on June 5, 2008, four years before their marriage after Toukam Fotso presented the twins as her own, allegedly misleading Njitap into believing they were his biological children.
But the drama doesn’t end there.
In the documents received from the aforementioned outlet, Njitap paints an image of marital conflict, citing his wife’s alleged rejection of sexual intimacy as a major point of view in their relationship.
Furthermore, the former Newcastle United player declares verbal offense at the hands of his spouse, claiming that he has been subjected to insults and abusive language in front of their children.

Geremi Njitap was known for his versatility, being able to play at right back, right midfield, or defensive midfielder, during his playing days.

The most successful times of Geremi’s club career came at Real Madrid and Chelsea, winning the UEFA Champions League with the Spanish club and domestic honors with the Blues.
Geremi earned 118 caps for Cameroon from 1996 to 2010, scoring 13 goals.
Njitap also played for Newcastle United and Turkish club Gençlerbirliği before he called it quits on professional football in January 2011.
