Manchester City star Erling Haaland fired back at critics after helping Manchester City their seventh Premier League title.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Haaland aimed a swipe at criticisms who had brandished his campaign with City this term as a ‘bad season.’

He said;

It’s just good, that! The more haters and critics, the better you are”.

“If this is a bad season… I’m in it, then it can only go up!”, told @JanAageFjortoft for ViaPlay.

Haaland fell short of matching his prolific debut tally for Manchester City. A spate of recurrent injuries limited his minutes for the club and nearly grounded his campaign.

However, it has been an upbeat season for the Norwegian. In 30 Premier League games, he registered a league-leading 27 goals with 5 assists to win the Premier League Golden Boot for the second time in a row.

He also scored 6 Champions League goals in 9 appearances with an assist before City crashed out in the semifinals of the competition.

Overall, it has not been a disappointing campaign for the former Borussia Dortmund forward. Returning from the sidelines to win the race for the Premier League Golden Boot is no mean feat and does position the forward in his elite class.

His goal contributions made a huge difference as City weathered the challenge from Arsenal to win the Premier League title again.

Haaland has now scored 63 Premier League goals in his first two seasons with Manchester City and will hope to continue on his prolific run heading into the next campaign.
