Erling Haaland, who currently leads the Premier League goals scoring chart, was recently interviewed by GQ Magazine.

Harry Kane, who is far behind with 15 goals in 19 games, is second on the list. While Haaland is topping with 21 goals in 17 games so far this season.

In the interview, he discussed his admiration for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, how meditation has improved his mentality, and what he believes to be the most significant aspect of life.

Many regard the acquisition of Haaland by Manchester City as their final move toward capturing the trophy that has thus far eluded the group owned by Sheikh Mansour, deputy prime minister of the UAE. Despite having limitless resources, the English club has yet to see European success.

For instance, Real Madrid defeated them in the semi-finals of the previous season’s Champions League. Haaland made an effort to explain the success Los Blancos had the previous season.

Erling Haaland says, when Asensio heads the ball and misses, and it hits Rodrygo’s leg and goes into the goal during the game against Real Madrid last year, “sometimes I think there is a God up there that determines these things.”

Eling Haaland is confident that he will exert every effort to help Manchester City win trophies and try to influence the course of the game. He also wants to win the Champions League with City.

Haaland was eager to emphasize his admiration for those who came before him while being well on his way to becoming one of the finest forward players in the world.

The Manchester City striker, who is still in his early 20s, acknowledges that his youth is not an issue in the modern game, where physical care and fitness allow players to continue to develop well into their late 30s.

At Elland Road, Man City and Haaland defeated Leeds United by scoring twice, but those were his first goals away from home since September 2022.

In the Premier League this week, Manchester City will host Tottenham Hotspur. Given that both teams lost their respective local derbies, it will be an interesting match. The home team is now eight points behind Arsenal. Thursday must be a victory for them.

Erling Haaland’s status on the team is starting to come under inquiry. Some contend that because of his shortcomings while not in possession, his presence is harmful to Manchester City.

The expectations for players on the Manchester City club are extremely high, so it seems unbelievable that there would be any questions about a player who has already scored 21 goals for the season.

The Norwegian goal-matching should use this as a fantastic opportunity to showcase his talent. Tottenham has recently struggled defensively.

Haaland will have opportunities to increase his season goal total. It has been a great start to life in England with 21 goals and three assists. The Manchester City’s striker must keep up his outstanding scoring rate if they are to have a successful season.

The next three home games are against Tottenham Hotspur (Jan. 19), Wolves (Jan. 22), and Arsenal (Jan. 27) in the FA Cup.
