Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is not having with critics who begrudged United’s FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City at Wembley.

The Red Devils surrendered a three-goal lead at the death and settled for a 3-3 draw before luckily scrapping past the Championship side 4-3 on penalties.

United’s narrow victory over Coventry was greeted with backlash than accolades after an apparent dismal display against the Sky Blues.

Manchester United legend and Premier League pundit Roy Keane blasted the team for a woeful display not to the measure of a team playing in the English topflight.

Speaking on punditry duties with TNT, Roy Keane ascribed United’s performance to that of a Championship club while Coventry were the one bossing the game like a Premier League side.

Overall, it was another stinker performance by the Red Devils despite the win, as per most United fans but it appears Erik ten Hag have begged to differ from the popular sentiments after the game.

Speaking ahead of Man United Premier League match with Sheffield United, Erik ten Hag fired point-blank shots on the critics for what he considered ‘disgrace’ comments lambasting United’s hard-fought victory over Coventry.

According to him, the win was a huge achievement for the team, having accomplished the feat of reaching the FA Cup final two times in the bounce.

He also added it is also a big milestone in his career as he sail through to his 4th Cup final in four years.

“Penalty was very good and we made it to the final. It is a huge achievement. Twice in two years is magnificent. For me as a manager, four Cup finals in four years. The comments are a disgrace.”

On thoughts on whether how United won the game with as embarrassing, the Dutch waved the question, insisting a win is a win.

“Was the Coventry game embarrassing? No, it was your reaction, the comments, that were embarrassing. It’s results that count in top-level football and we’re in the final.”

Erik ten Hag has been under pressure as Manchester United’s dismal campaign thwarts the club’s domestic and European fortunes.

They have been written off the race for Champions League football and could end the season without silverware if they fail to beat cross-city rivals in FA Cup final on May 25.
