Erik Ten Hag bashes Manchester United players after loss to Liverpool

Dutchman Erik Ten Hag was angry after Manchester United’s defeat to Liverpool and he was brutal with his boys after the defeat.

He reportedly said that his players were fortunate to be traveling back to Manchester in the team bus following their humbling loss to The Reds. 

Ten Hag used “the hairdryer treatment” on his players, a style that was made popular by former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

Note that the practice of shouting at someone at close quarters in order to express one’s displeasure at something he or she has done is known as the “the hairdryer treatment”.

The former Ajax boss expressed his annoyance with their performance in the evening after the rude awakening 7-0 loss received from the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Manchester United’s defeat to Liverpool on Sunday was the club’s worst defeat in ninety-one years. The Dutchman made Manchester United players undergo the pain of listening to the jollification of the Merseyside based team. 

The 53-year-old then delivered a sucker punch to the players, cautioning them on what could happen if a repeat of the humbling loss on Sunday occurs.

The Dutchman labeled the loss as “unprofessional” and “unacceptable”

Erik Ten Hag publicly tagged the three points dropped as “unprofessional” and “unacceptable”. Many feel that this was the most provoked state Erik Ten Hag has been in since he began coaching.

The man from Netherland then invited the squad into training on Monday morning with an investigation done on why the team lost in the manner they did. 

An informant close to Manchester United stated: “Obviously ,  the manager was furious after the game and he still was the following morning and has made his feelings clear.

“He and the players are all desperate to reset for Thursday.”

Ten Hag was still annoyed about the horrendous loss that was experienced by the team at Anfield on Sunday. The boss who hails from Holland got to Carrington training facility at 7am to create a debrief with players joining the team two hours after his arrival. 

Manchester United fans across the globe have put that defeat behind them and they are hoping that the Old Trafford based club would bounce back as from Thursday when they face Real Betis. 

Liverpool’s opponents, Man United, were unlucky to trail at the interval to The Reds as they went behind due to a goal from Cody Gakpo.

Uruguayan attacker Darwin Nunez, Netherland international Cody Gakpo and Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah all scored twice before Roberto Firmino scored the seventh goal for Liverpool. 

The loss for Manchester United has sent a dark cloud on what has been a wonderful week and season that the club are currently experiencing. 

Manchester United resurrected their season after they secured a 2-1 victory against Liverpool in the first leg of the encounter. 

The Red Army won the Carabao Cup recently in addition to qualifying for the next round of the FA Cup and beating Barcelona at Old Trafford. 

Erik Ten Hag’s side currently sit third on the Premier League table on forty-nine points with a game in hand. 

They also still have the chance of achieving the quadruple this season if they can lay their hands on the FA Cup, Premier League and UEFA Europa League.
