    Daddy Yankee met with Barcelona first team players in a special meet and greet event as the club prepares to wrap up their preseason tour in the US.

    The meet and greet event which was organized in collaboration with Barcelona sponsors, Sportify, saw the renowned Puerto Rican singer share beautiful moments with the players.

    It was Barcelona’s 9th day in their US preseason tour. After being ravaged by a shocking viral infection that truncated their slated clash with Serie A giants, Juventus, the club were back to their feet. The game against Juventus could not be rescheduled and they had kicked off proceedings against Premier League side Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium.

    It was an 8-goal thriller as Arsenal dominated proceedings and ran out with a 5-3 win. After the defeat against Arsenal, the team continued in their preseason plan as they entered the 9th day of the tour. A special morning training session took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before the meet and greet event which featured Daddy Yankee.

    Meanwhile, Yankee was on the stands in the game against Arsenal. The Puerto Rican artist beamed a warm smile as he joined thousands of fans at the stadium to watch the game.

    The meet and greet event afforded Yankee and opportunity to meet Barcelona first team players in their sanctum and share pleasant moments with them.

    Footage of the meeting which was shared by Barcelona shows the former rapper and songwriter beaming with smiles as he pose with Barcelona players.

    He was also seen engaging with some of top first team players such as Robert Lewandwoski, IIkay Gundogan, Ansu Fati, and others in a mock tutorial session in which he tried to have the players pronounce his renowned acronym, “DY,” which stands for his stage name, Daddy Yankee.

    Pedri first made a trial. He failed in his first attempt but got it on the second attempt.

    Robert Lewandwoski nearly twisted his tongue trying to voiced out the acronym. Balde went close but still did not get it.

    Ansu Fati did his best in his first trial and seemingly got it on his second trial. He was given a pat on the back by Yankee.

    New signing from Manchester City, IIkay Gundogan got it on first trial. Overall, it was a pleasant moment with the music icon as they all laughed out.

    Barcelona will take on domestic rivals Real Madrid at the AT&T Stadium in Texas in their next preseason clash before wrapping up their tour with a clash against AC Milan in Nevada.

    Daddy Yankee is a retired Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. His real name is Ramon Luis Ayala Rodriguez but is known via his professional name as Daddy Yankee.
