Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United has taken to his Instagram page with over 380 million followers to wish his fans a merry Christmas with a picture of his extended family.

In the picture he shared earlier today, December 25, 2021, the 36-year-old football icon could be seen sitting on the staircase of his apartment in Manchester alongside the rest of his family members.

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree stood near the staircase the footballer’s family sat on for the photoshoot.

In the picture, Ronaldo wore red pajamas which matched with the one his pregnant lover, Georgina Rodriguez wore. His children, Cristiano Jr., Eva, Mateo, and Alana Martina also wore red pajamas.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores was not sitting too far from his grandchildren. Her eldest son, Hugo was sitting next to her since her husband and Ronaldo’s father, José had died in September 2005.

Ronaldo’s father died of an alcoholism-related liver condition which influenced the footballer to avoid taking alcohol.

Other people in the picture include the footballer’s elder sister Elma Aveiro, Katia Aveiro, and other men who could not be recognized at the time of publishing this report.

In the caption, Cristiano Ronaldo who returned to Manchester United last summer, a club he played for between 2003 and 2009, wrote: “With a full heart, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!”

Before the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner shared the family picture, he was a subject of ridicule by his teammate at Manchester United.

Nemanja Matic, Manchester United midfielder, took to Instagram to share a picture from the club’s training ground. He used the picture to announce that his team beat Ronaldo’s team during training.

In the caption, the former Chelsea midfielder wrote: “Winning team! @cristiano are you ok?” alongside a laughing emoji.

In the comment section of the post, Bruno Fernandes who is Ronaldo’s countryman joined Matic to mock the Portuguese icon, by simply spelling out Ronaldo’s famous celebration: “SIUUUUUUUUU.”
