According to the Italian authorities, Cristiano is now closer to the Juventus team and in the country of Italy; he may face investigation and a possible run-in with the law for putting people at risk after testing positive for Covid-19.
Vincenzo Spadafora, Italy’s minister of sport said to Rai sports radio: “Without authorization from the health authorities, I think he has violated the protocol.”
However, The Bianconeri said in a statement: “Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Italy with a medical flight authorized by the relevant health authorities at the request of the player and will continue his isolation at his home.”
Italy’s sports minister is obviously out of the loop with how Cristiano Ronaldo was allowed to enter Italy and he may try to make it a big issue. If the Juve star is found to be on the wrong, he may be fined or banned for a couple of games. But this is highly unlikely to happen.
