Court Reveals Manchester United Star Inhaled Laughing Gas From Ballon Before He Crashed His Car

Court has revealed that Manchester United defender Brandon Williams inhaled nitrous oxide, famously known as laughing gas, from Ballon before he proceeded to crash his car at 74mph.

Brandon Williams faced magistrate court over the accident that happened in 2023. Prosecutor Katie Johnson revealed that the defender crashed an Audi A3 S Line motor at a speed of 74mph.

In addition, he had also been driving more than 90mph along the A34 in Winslow, Cheshire.

While the player watched from the court dock, the prosecutor in charge of the case said, “He was seen by witnesses to have taken nitrous oxide from balloons.”

He appeared on the dock wearing a dark suit, a white shirt, and a dark tie.

The defender, who is currently on loan at Ipswich Town in the Championship, gave his parents’ address as his own in attempt to avoid security personnel.

Furthermore, a court clerk said the player denied the accusation of dangerous driving and did not accept responsibility for the crash that happened in 2023.

The football star also denied being weakened and was driving at the same time without insurance. The Magistrate Court sent the case for trial in Chester Crown Court, with the hearing expected to be on April 19, 2024.

Although Williams had been granted unconditional bail.

On March 26, 2023, it was revealed by The Sun that Brandon Williams was captured inhaling laughing gas from a ballon near the club training ground.

He was seen inhaling this dangerous substance while he was in the passenger seat of his Mercedes Barbus. 

It was irresponsible of him, considering he is a public figure who was playing for Manchester United in the Premier League before joining Ipswich Town on loan.

Nitrous oxide is commonly known as laughing gas or happy gas. It is a colorless and non-flammable gas. The happy gas is used to relieve anxiety and allow the patient to relax.

The risks of taking a laughing gas include heart attacks, strokes, and brain damage. Consistent use of laughing gas may lead to depression, memory loss, incoherence, nerve damage, and hallucinations.

Out of the six goals scored, one was for Manchester United, three for Manchester United-18, and two for Ipswich Town in the English Championship.
