Chelsea have signed talented Danish goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal on a long-term contract.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Blues have settled both personal and club terms for the services of the former Sweden U-16s and U-17s goalie.
Following a standout campaign with Villareal, Jorgensen emerged as a priority target for Chelsea to replace Kepa Arrizabalega, who is bound to leave the club this summer.
He is expected to offer competition to the club’s current No.1 goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Jorgensen is Chelsea’s third goalkeeper signing since last summer with the Blues now completely overhauling the goalkeeping department.
He joins the Blues’ long list of signings this summer, featuring the likes of Tosin Aderabioyo, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, and Omari Kellyman.
