Chelsea are planning to send Mykhailo Mudryk who is reportedly earning 150,000 pounds per week on a loan in January.

According to Spanish outlet, the London outfit are working on a deal to secure a move for the 22-year-old forward for the second quarter of the 2023/2024 season.

The Ukraine international has been struggling to find his fine form since he joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 and is yet to find the back of the net in any of his competitive matches.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk player scored during the Premier League friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion and his assist against Leicester City and the Seagulls last season remains his only competitive goal contribution.

Despite his promising display in the pre-season through which he started developing a good relationship with Chelsea’s new signing Nicolas Jackson, Mudryk has started the new season as an impact substitute rather than finding a way to the starting lineup.

Mauricio Pochettino has favored Raheem Sterling, and other players for wide attackin berths ahead of the 22-year-old player.

Mykhailo Mudryk has found it hard to contribute in a meaningful area at Stamford Bridge yet, but his massive transfer amount and long-term contract which runs until the summer of 2031 means the Blues have to look for a way to offload him and she’d the financial burden.

According to a report from Spain, the West London outfit are preparing to unlock his potential by securing a loan move for Mudryk in January.

Chelsea

The report further stated that Chelsea are working on a deal that would benefit the player and the club with a six-month loan transfer being considered.

There are several suitors who are showing interest in signing Mudryk on loan and the Blues are open to sending the Ukraine international to another club side in a bid to help him recover and also relief the club financially.

Mudryk is presently facing competition from the likes of Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer for a starting spot at Stamford Bridge.

If Christopher Nkunku secures his return from injury in November he will likely drag the 22-year-old even further down the pecking order.

Mykhailo Mudryk was given a starting position in last week’s goalless draw against Bournemouth and he mostly made an instant impact before being subbed off after 60 minutes of play.

What’s next for Mykhailo Mudryk?

Chelsea

The Chelsea star will be looking forward to a second consecutive starting chance under Mauricio Pochettino when they lock horns against Aston Villa.

He has been working tirelessly at Cobham in the hope of another opportunity to improve his morale and state of mind.
