Chelsea are still yet to make any valuable impact on the Premier League despite summer signings and appointment of new coach Graham Potter.

London Giants Chelsea drew poorly with Fulham at home, West Ham earned a valuable point at Newcastle United.

While Chelsea, their rivals, are stuck in the middle of the standings, West Ham are in the relegation zone.

Chelsea had defeated West Ham in four of the last five meetings, however, West Ham won this match 3-2 last year.

Before welcoming Chelsea at the London Stadium on Saturday, West Ham had already lost five of ten home games this season.

Graham Potter’s Chelsea has gone seven games in the Premier League without an away victory this year.

    Starting Line-up For Both Team

West Ham United: Fabianski, Coufal, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Aguerd, Emerson, Rice, Paqueta, Benrahma, Bowen, Antonio.

    • Subs: Hegyi, Anang, Johnson, Fornals, Lanzini, Downes, Ings, Soucek.

Chelsea: Kepa, James, Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella, Fernandez, Madueke, Felix, Loftus-Cheek, Mudryk, Havertz.

    • Subs: Bettinelli, Azpilicueta, Chilwell, Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Gallagher, Mount, Ziyech, D Fofana.

As soon as the game began, Mudryk wreaked havoc down the inside-left channel while pursuing a pretty Felix chip.

He dipped inside, forcing Kehrer to foul him, earning a free kick to the left.

James whistled a long pass down the inside-right channel, and Chelsea had the ball in the net right away.

Felix was unimpeded, attracted Fabianski, and pushed past the goalkeeper.

Felix was able to tap the ball into the open net after it ricocheted against the left-hand post and returned to his feet.

Unfortunately, the flag was raised because he was just offside.

However, Mudryk tackled Bowen, who was knocked to the ground, and the goal came practically immediately (16th minute). But there was no indication of offense.

Fernandez grabbed control of the ball 30 yards to the left. He crossed the ball over West Ham’s defensive line.

Felix raced to the ball as it dropped and sidefooted it past the defenseless Fabianski.

    SEE FELIX’S GOAL HERE:

Felix appeared to be far more involved in the game than any other Chelsea attacker, which made the goal far too simple.

Chelsea scored once again in the 22nd minute, making it three goals.

The flag was raised for offside a second time.

This time, Mudryk was the playmaker as he rolled a pass from a distance through the middle.

It caught Havertz’s attention, who raced past all defenders to go around Fabianksi on the left and score.

He moved slightly too early, but the VAR ruling was still right.

Chelsea could have won the derby by a score of 3-0 had it not been for the combined length of a ruler.

In the 28th minute, a former Chelsea player who is now a Westham player made things worse for the Blues.

For Chelsea, it’s always a hilarious old game!

Emerson ran in at the far post and scuffed a shot across Kepa and into the bottom right after Coufal crossed the ball from the right. Bowen briefly touched the ball.

The former Chelsea player’s equalizer changed the course of Chelsea’s heavily favored game.

As both sides returned for the second half of the game, it was clearly apparent that the score would be a tie.

Chelsea still maintained the dominance in the match but failed to replicate that on the scoresheet as the game stood at 1-1 with Westham having more attacking prowess.

    EMERSON’S EQUALIZER:

Rice headed a wonderful ball Emerson curled into the box in the direction of the goal.

The ball was parried by a quick Kepa, but Soucek bundled it in, setting up a riot in the stadium.

As soon as Rice appeared to be offside, VAR checked because it appeared that the play would unquestionably be disallowed.

Rice was, in fact, in the wrong, and Soucek grinned wistfully. Ziyech, who had cheaply conceded the free kick, was somewhat relieved.

As Chelsea had been denied a decision multiple times since VAR was implemented in the Premier League, the 89th minute of the game sparked controversy.

Chilwell charged down the left and managed to elude Havertz and Ziyech with his cutback.

    SOUCEK’S BALL HANDLING:

The ball ultimately made its way to Gallagher, who received a blow from the 18-year-old box’s edge.

His low drive brushed off Soucek’s hands and reduced its pace towards the goal.

Picking up the ball, Fabianski sprinted after it.

Chelsea was all over the referee and demanded a penalty, but neither the referee nor VAR wanted to give one.

You may credibly argue that Soucek touched the ball, but the referee did not conduct a second inspection.

FULL TIME: West Ham 1-1 Chelsea

West Ham United has earned yet another crucial point. Chelsea, who is in the middle of the pack, had yet another frustrating draw.

Despite playing some beautiful football, Chelsea lacked a cutting edge.

Graham Potter has encountered this topic before, and he appears a little let down as the whistle blows.

David Moyes was much more upbeat and had more energy as he thanked the home crowd for their support.

Right now, West Ham values a point more than Chelsea does.
