Chelsea are still struggling despite their massive spending as they lose 1-0 to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea looked to return back to winning ways at the Stamford Bridge but it turned sour as Villa took all three points.

Mauricio Pochettino included Moises Caicedo in the midfield after the player missed last week’s draw at Bournemouth.

Conor Gallagher also started as The Blues captain with Ben Chilwell on the bench, Mykhailo Mudryk started his second match in a row.

Unai Emery on the other hand started Ollie Watkins, Moussa Diaby, Douglas Luiz, Matty Cash as well as Pau Torres.

Emery’s men came from a 3-2 loss in the Europa Conference League at Legia Warsaw to beat Chelsea.

Chelsea poor run of form worsened with the loss to Unai Emery’s men at their home stadium.

Ollie Watkins’ goal was the difference between the two team as the player scored from an incredible angle.

Malo Gusto was sent off in the match for a dangerous play and the visitors capitalized on the red card.

The Blues had the better of the game before Gusto was sent off, but as always, they failed to convert any of them.

Chelsea could’ve scored but Emiliano Martinez denied Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling a one-on-one chance.

Chelsea midfielder maestro Enzo Fernandez also had a glorious chance but sliced his shot off target.

The Blues were also saved several times by their own keeper as Sanchez made some awesome saves.

The keeper made a pair of flying fingertip saves to thwart beautifully-struck volleys by Digne and Nicolo Zaniolo.

Aston Villa win means they have moved up to 6th in the Premier League while Chelsea languish in 14th place on the table.
