Chelsea Football Club have appointed a new president of business – Tom Glick. The club announced this on the morning of Monday, 18th of July, 2022.
The 30-year-old is the latest addition to the Boehly era at Stamford Bridge. He is joining the club’s board a week after Chelsea sealed the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
The club was officially sold to the consortium led by Todd Boehly on May 31st, 2022, and has since then made changes to the board. Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia, and Petr Cech all left their roles at the club after the sale, with Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali, Jose E. Feliciano, Mark Walter, Hansjorg Wyss, Jonathan Goldstein, Babara Charone, Lord Daniel Finkelstein OBE, and James Pade all confirmed as new members of the club’s board.
Tom Glick will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations at the club, including managing its global commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, enhancing fan engagement, and exceptional experiences for the Club’s fans, the club announced via the club’s official website.
Tom has held previous successful positions, including the creation of Major League Soccer’s Charlotte Football Club. He also managed the extensive renovation to the Bank of America Stadium and was the president of NFL’s Carolina Panthers franchise.

Glick’s addition to the club is said to be a great one, as Todd Boehly, chairman and controlling owner, had this to say: ‘Tom’s successful track record as a leader and innovator at several respected and winning sports organisations made him the obvious choice for this position. His skills and experience will be vital as we improve Chelsea FC’s key infrastructure, expand the club’s product and reputation, and find exciting new ways for our loyal supporters to engage with favourite players.’
While Glick had this to say on his appointment; ‘Chelsea FC is an iconic sports institution, known and admired over the world.
