Cesc Fabregas was captured in footage celebrating the promotion of Como to the Serie A, a club in which he is a minority shareholder and also works as an assistant manager.

Fabregas was seen as lively as possible as he beamed with smiles and joy of fulfilment over the promotion berth of his side.

Cesc Fabregas works as an assistant under Welsh manager Osian Roberts, who was formerly the assistant gaffer at Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Roberts was also the assistant boss of the national team of Wales from 2015 to 2019, with the 58-year-old also taking charge of several of the country’s cadet teams – U16 and 18.

Meanwhile, Como had been searching for promotion to the top flight following many years of turmoil and turbulence, with the team also battling bankruptcy for many years.

Anyway, they are currently owned by Indonesian company Djarum Group led by Michael Hartono and Robert Budi Hartono.

They are also sponsored by Djarum subsidiary Mola since 2021, with ex-Chelsea and Milwall player Dennis Wise being an advisor to the board.

Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas Delighted By The Promotion Of Como To The Serie A

Thierry Henry and Cesc Fàbregas are minority shareholders, and the pair are indeed thrilled by the club’s promotion status.

Henry during CBS’ Champions League coverage shared what it feels like to be an an administrator of a football club and the pressure that comes with it.

The Frenchman was also seen in the stands after Como’s promotion was confirmed alongside top individuals at the club, hugging and delighted at the feat achieved.

Como finished second in Serie B, with 73 points from 38 league matches, 3 adrift off second division league winners, Parma, who amassed 76 points from 38 games.

However, the most important thing is promotion and that’s the reason why Cesc Fabregas was seen beaming with smiles after the blast of the full-time whistle in their clash against Cosenza, which ended 1-1.

Gennaro Tutino had initially scored in the 30th minute to put Cosenza ahead before Simone Verdi equalized for Como in the 74th minute.

    Faregas At Como

Fàbregas was appointed as head coach of Como U19 and B on July 1, 2023, after he retired from professional football.

The Spaniard obtained his UEFA A coaching license in 2023, and on November 13, 2023, following the dismissal of Moreno Longo, Fàbregas was handed the first-team head coaching job on an interim basis.

However, due to him not having a UEFA Pro coaching license at the time of his appointment, he was also given special treatment to act as Como’s head coach for a month.

On December 20, 2023, Osian Roberts was announced as caretaker manager until the end of the campaign, with Cesc Fabregas staying on as his assistant.

Their combination has yielded great results for Como, and that has seen them gain promotion to the Serie A for the first time since 2003.

Moreover, Venezia, Cremonese, Catanzaro, Palermo, Sampdoria, and Brescia, who finished 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th respectively will battle for the last promotion spot available.
