While the 2nd to 4th round will be played on consecutive mid-weeks from the 15/16th of September, the top-flight clubs in the EPL will enter the competition in either round two or three based on their league standing in the 2019/20 season.
The draw for the 1st round will take place on August 18, and it would be split into two sections, the Sothern and Northern, which would be for unseeded teams in the lower divisions.
