Brighton vs Wolves: Matheus Cunha’s late goal in the extra minutes of the second half secured a point for the Wolves side against Brighton. 

The Brighton side were two goals ahead in the game after a first-half goal from Danny Welbeck and an 85th-minute goal from Evans Ferguson. 

Wolverhampton Wanderers came back into the game via a goal from left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri in the 88th minute before Cunha scored in the 93rd minute to give his team two points in nine matches.

The Brighton side totally dominated the Wolves side in the first half of the game.

Even though the Wolves side got their real chance of the game via Cunha, they were pinned to their own half by the Brighton side. 

Kaoru Mitoma had two different chances from the left side of the pitch. The first chance was saved by Jose Sa, and he blasted the second chance on the goalpost. 

The Wolves also had a shot on target in the first half of the game, which was comfortably saved by Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. 

Brighton side were so composed in the first half of the game, with Wolves consistently trying to counterattack.

Brighton striker Danny Welbeck scored his 29th Premier League goals for the Seagulls against the Wolverhampton Wanderers side in the first half of the match.

The Brighton side pounced on Jose Sa’s error after his shot fell into Seagulls’ path.

Brighton midfielder Rutter created a chance for Welbeck, who wasted no time in scoring his sixth Premier League goal of the season. 

He is currently Brighton’s most dangerous striker in the 2024-25 season. 

The 33-year-old striker is eyeing double figures in terms of goals in the Premier League this season. 

In the first 20 minutes of the game, Welbeck failed to convert a clear-cut chance.

Wolves Had Better Chances of Scoring Against Brighton in the Second Half

Gary O’Neil’s men stretched the Brighton defenders and had the better chances of scoring the equalizer against the Brighton side. 

Brighton goalkeeper Verbruggen was forced into a series of saves by Wolves stars, Dawson and Strand Larsen. 

In addition, Cunha’s second half attempt also went into Verbruggen’s path, with the goalkeeper comfortably saving it. 

Evans Ferguson extended the lead for the Brighton side

Brighton striker Ferguson extended the lead for the Seagulls against the Wolves in the final 10 minutes of the game. 

The striker who came on in the second half scored an excellent goal to put Brighton in the driving seat. 

Wolves Scored Two Late Goals to Secure A Point Against The Brighton Side

The Wolves side secured a point after two late goals from Cunha and Ait Nouri.

The team are in the 19th place of the Premier League table with two points from nine matches.

What Next For Brighton And Wolverhampton Wanderers

The Brighton side will play against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 8:30 pm.

It is one of the matches to watch in the Carabo Cup fourth round.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 6:30 pm.

Both teams are struggling to secure major points in the Premier League this season.

The Wolves side are currently in the 19th place of the Premier League table with two points in nine matches.

Crystal Place are in the 18th place with three points from eight games.
