Current Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich’s coach Julian Nagelsmann has revealed that he doesn’t plan on having right back Bouna Sarr in his team next season.

The Bavarians’ right-back failed to find form last season, appearing in only 274 minutes in all competitions. He allegedly wants to leave Bayern on loan this summer to get his career back on track. Reports in Germany suggest that Spain is Bouna Sarr’s ideal place of interest.

The 30-year-old is free to quit Bayern Munich, but French, Italian, and Turkish clubs are hesitant to pay his €2.5 million wages. Sarr must now choose between staying at Bayern Munich and risking not being used, or taking a pay reduction to join another club this summer.

Sarr only played 59 minutes of Bundesliga football in five games last season, and he has only played 27 games in all competitions since his €8 million move from Marseille to Bayern in 2020.

Last season, Josip Stanii (22) surpassed the Senegalese international in the pecking order, and Bayern Munich have since completed the free transfer of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax. Benjamin Pavard, a Frenchman, can also play in the right-back position.

Sarr’s contract has two years left on it, but Bayern Munich will let him depart this summer if he can find a buyer, which could be difficult. The German champions are currently having a busy and difficult summer transfer as the club looks to add more quality to their squad ahead of next season.

They have reached out to Liverpool for the signature of Sadio Mane but Liverpool have rejected two of their offers so far. The Premier League club has refused to let go of Sadio Mane because they believe that he cost more than what Bayern Munich are offering.

The Senegal captain has already made up his mind to leave Liverpool. He made it known after the Champions League final against Real Madrid that he wants a new challenge.

According to Mane, his time is up at the Premier League club, and wants to leave even though he still has a year left on his contract. On the other hand, FC Barcelona are also pushing Bayern Munich to release their top striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Spanish giants are reportedly planning an improved offer for Lewandowski. The Poland captain has just one year left in his contract but he’s ready to leave. He had once stated that he’s not interested in playing for Bayern Munich as something has died in him.

However, Bayern Munich are not ready to let him go until he completes his contract in the summer of 2023. But recent development at the club suggests that if FC Barcelona or any other club offer Bayern €50 million this summer, they would allow the 33-year-old polish striker to leave.
