Spanish league giants Barcelona are still pushing hard to get their summer transfer window target Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

The two clubs are yet to reach a mutual agreement that will allow Lewandowski to join Barcelona. However, Barça are planning to submit an improved offer for Robert Lewandowski as they still want to sign the top striker.

Before now, Barcelona have submitted a €32 million offer plus €5 million in add-ons but the German champions rejected it. Bayern Munich have made it clear that Robert Lewandowski still has one year left in his contract and won’t allow him to leave.

However, Lewandowski has come out to say that he’s not interested in playing for the Bundesliga champions again. The Polish man has revealed that he wants to play for Barcelona and something has died in him for Bayern Munich.

Multiple sources report that the prolific striker has agreed on a three-year deal with the Spanish giants but it’s left for Bayern Munich to release him. The reluctant behavior of Bayern Munich has triggered Lewandowski to say that no player would like to join them because there’s no loyalty and respect at the club.

Lewandowski has been the main goal scorer in Bayern Munich since he joined them and scored a total of 50 goals in all competitions for the German champions last season.

The Poland captain came close to winning the Ballon d’Or award in 2021 but was ranked second behind Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Bayern Munich still wants their main man to stay in the club until 2023. Barcelona are looking to improve their attacking front ahead of next season and Lewandowski is the main player on their list.

The 33-year-old will be expected to bring goals to Camp Nou as they try to win a title. Recall that Barcelona finished last season without a title after losing their legend Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain came as a shock to the Spanish league and it has affected Barcelona’s performance. The team was also sent to the UEFA Europa League for the first time in many years but didn’t perform well.

However, Bayern Munich are also trying to secure the services of Sadio Mane from Liverpool. Mane revealed that his time in Liverpool is over and he’s looking for a new challenge.

The Senegalese winger is expected to join Bayern Munich soon after they submitted a third bid although Liverpool are yet to accept their offer. Sadio Mane’s move to Bayern Munich might trigger a release for Robert Lewandowski.
