Chelsea teammates celebrate with Pulisic after scoring a goal

Chelsea midfielder, Ross Barkley, has warned Premier League defenses that they need to be wary of in-form teammate, Christian Pulisic.

Since the restart of the Premier League after the coronavirus-enforced break, the US international has been Chelsea’s stand out player, and he has scored two goals in the last five games with some assist. He has been a menace in the defences of the team’s opponents, helping Chelsea win 4  out of five since his return from injury.

Thanks to the lockdown that helped the 21-year-old to recover from adductor injury -, he is now repaying the club’s value for £58million they paid in getting him from Borussia Dortmund.

Pulisic scores his eight of the season against Manchester City

Speaking on the impressive young and stylish attacker, Barkley said he has been on fire since he came back from lockdown, having had a couple of little niggles easier in the season because he didn’t get much of break last summer before joining the club.

“So maybe this break has done him a world of good. Since he came back, he has been blazing. He has been scoring great goals in training, and now he is doing it in matches.

“He is such a difficult player to defend against because he is so direct. He is so confident. He is always ready to try and take a player on. He is a real problem for defenders.”

I am not going to compare myself to Hazard – Christian Pulisic

Speaking after his man of the match performance against Watford at the Stamford Bridge, the winger, who has been compared to former Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, said he is not comparing himself to anyone.

While stating that his level of confidence is now hight after regaining, full fitness, Pulisic, who lauded the Real Madrid attacker for being an incredible player for the Blues, said he is a world-class player, while he will try to be himself, hoping the fans will like him.

Chelsea is currently in the quest of cementing their Champions League place with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, and likely Arsenal on their neck for the slot.
