Marco Roca, a 25-year-old midfielder has struggled for game time under Julian Nagelsmann and it appears that the Spaniard is ready to quit the Allianz Arena this summer.
Marco Roca, who was signed from Espanyol in the Spanish division for a fee of €9m, has not been able to nail starting spot in Bayern Munich’s midfield. This situation has forced both parties to consider a transfer away from the club.
Marco Roca could not establish himself as a key player in the midfield because Joshua KImmich, Leon Goretzka, and Corentin Tolisso have all been selected ahead of him. He was only able to play 378 minutes of Bundesliga football across nine matches for Bayern Munich.
Reports claim that Leeds United and Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in signing the 25-year-old midfielder.
Eintracht Frankfurt is believed to be the front-runner to sign him, especially with Champions League football secured ahead of next season.
FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC are also said to be actively monitoring the situation surrounding the Spanish midfielder.
Marco Rosa will now be looking to make the move away from the club this summer, especially after the recent signing of Ajax midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch. Bayern Munich had to fight off the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid to seal Gravenberch’s transfer.
Gravenberch was said to have completed his transfer this week after he flew to Germany to sign his 5-year contract deal. He has announced that he was leaving the club this summer.
A fee of €19million was agreed to complete the deal this summer. His contract also included a 7.5% sell-on clause as well as add-ons totaling €5.5m.
