While speaking about the challenge during an interview, he said: “I’m never going to say that somebody is going to beat me one-on-one in anything. I don’t care what it is, what sport it is. Soccer — who is the best player in soccer? C’mon, we can play. I want to be the goalie, somebody set it up.”

Fans of Messi will be happy to learn that one of the top NBA players at the moment believes Leo to be the finest footballer in the world.
Regarding his desire to compete against Messi in soccer, Morant might not like the embarrassment to be televised.
It wouldn’t be Messi’s first recognition in the NBA if he eventually take on the challenge with Morant. Messi received a shout-out from Golden State point guard and MVP of the 2022 NBA Finals Stephen Curry when he switched from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain last year.
