Pedri has pointed out the difference between Xavi Hernandez and Hansi Flick with regard to discipline.

The 21-year-old shared that Xavi would fine a player who arrives late to training €5,000, while Flick has opted to remove punishing players through fines.

Pedri made it known that Hansi Flick has implemented a punishment whereby players who arrive late to training won’t be involved in Barcelona’s upcoming game.

He said: “Xavi, for example, would fine you €5000 if you arrived late one day and if you arrive late the next day, it would be double. Flick has taken away the fines. Now if you arrive late, you don’t play.”

    Barcelona Flourishing Under Hansi Flick

It appears Flick’s approach to discipline at Barcelona is yielding the right dividend, with players delivering their best thus far this campaign.

The Blaugrana side have their sights on claiming several titles this campaign, as they occupy the summit of La Liga table with 33 points, 9 points clear of 2nd-placed Real Madrid, who have played one game less.

In the UEFA Champions League, Hansi Flick’s side are also in a favorable position to make it through to the knockout phase, while other cup titles are also within their reach.
