La Liga giants, Barcelona, are closing in on a deal to sign highly-rated young Senegal center-back, Mikayil Faye from Croatian side, NK Kustosija
Faye plies his trade with Croatian club, NK Kustosija. He has been deemed as one of the fast-rising youngsters that will dominate the game in his position in the nearest future after a sterling outing with Senegal youth team.
Faye is playing in Croatia third division with NK Kustosija and has made 13 appearances for the club, scoring one goal. He emerged into the limelight in 2019 when he made 4 appearances for the Senegal U-17 in FIFA U-17 World Cup, helping the team reach the knockouts.
As per reports from Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona see Mikayil Faye as a top target and are ready to sign the player.
The La Liga giants are ready to splash €5m for Faye, including add-ons.
Barcelona are not the only big club interested in a move for Faye. The Senegalese fast-rising youngster has also been linked to a move to other top European clubs.
Premier League giants, Chelsea, were also interested in signing the prolific center-back to beef up the Blues defense ahead of next season’s campaign.
Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund were also on the queue, plotting a move for Mikayil Faye to bring him to Signal Iduna Park.
