Barcelona is already in a battle with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in the pursuit of Hertha Berlin talented midfielder, Lazar Samardzic.
Sky Sports correspondent, Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that the La Liga runners up are among the clubs keeping an eye on the 18-year-old teenager. Samardzic is reportedly keen on a move away from the club this summer in search of a bigger move. Being a player who could also play in the wings, he has been attracting the interest of European top clubs.
Futballnews gathered that RB Leipzig are in pole position to secure the services of the young playmaker. But, they are facing stiff competition from Barcelona and fellow Bundesliga side, Bayern.
The UEFA Champions League semi-finalists are therefore ready for a fight for the signature of the Hertha youth academy product.
Samardzic has been making waves in German football for some time now, having played in the U-17 and U-18 of Hertha, where he has been involved in 21 goals in just 16 matches.
The 18-year-old also made his debut with German under 20- earlier this month, having been a regular with the German international youth teams.

The whizkid became a prospect because one of his biggest assets, which is his ability to create chances in the final third.
His vision and excellent ball-carrying qualities have been described as remarkable. This is said to bear quite a resemblance to Arsenal superstar, Mesut Ozil. He is also known to be keen on scoring. This makes him a promising young attacking midfielder, who is ready to take the next step in his career.
According to reports, this is why Barcelona want him. Barca had lost a bunch of their most promising products of La Masia in recent years. Some of them include Eric Garcia, Sergio Gomez and Marc Cucurella. Barca further lost U-16 right-back Marc Jurado to Manchester United this summer.
If they secure the service of Samardzic, it would be as a massive boost for their youth teams. Since Barca is already fading out the old midfielders, the young prodigy could easily slot into that department.
RB Leipzig is also a good developing ground for him. The club could offer him a lot of prospect as well.
The Bundesliga side will want to have the promising player in its rank having already lost Timo Werner to Chelsea while Patrik Schick had to leave following the end of his loan spell.
