Barcelona is anticipated to register several new players this weekend after collecting £85 million from the sale of 24.5 percent of Barca Studios to Orpehus Media.

However, it is unclear if that will be the case for all of them.

Before their debut match at home against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, reports went viral that the La Liga club was yet to register Robert Lewandowski (£42.5m), Raphinha (£55m), Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde, and Franck Kessie, all of whom joined the club during this transfer window.

Also, despite signing new contracts, Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto were yet to be registered until Friday, August 12, 2022, while Barcelona is yet to complete the purchase of Marcos Alonso from Chelsea.

Bernardo Silva of Manchester City is still one of Barcelona’s top targets.

However, after much speculation and concerns, Barcelona has completed the registration of four of its five new signings—Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen—in advance of their La Liga debut against Rayo Vallecano according to recent updates.

Barcelona new players

Before now, the fact that the Blaugrana had not registered any of their new acquisitions and the two players who had signed new contracts before Saturday’s matchup against Andoni Iraola’s team, alarmed supporters.

However, the sale of 25% of Barça Studios earlier on Friday and Gerard Pique’s pay cut, which activated the fourth economic lever, appear to have given Barça the green light to sign at least some of their new players.

The club is also interested in offloading players who are not in Xavi’s plan for the season. Depay and Braithwaite have been told to find another club, Dest has not been left out.

Lewandowski, Raphael Kessie, and Christensen have all finished registering with Barcelona, according to information on La Liga’s official website.

As a result, they will be eligible for the start of the season against Rayo Vallecano. The La Liga website crashed shortly after the news surfaced.

According to recent speculation, Barcelona might register a total of six stars. As of right now, Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Roberto are both listed as Barcelona players on the La Liga website.

Jules Kounde will therefore be the only player who is not enrolled for the first week of the season at the time of publishing this report.

When the Spanish League’s Economic Control department examined the specifics of the most recent sell-off, it was able to establish that Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen could all now be registered.

Jaume Roures, the CEO of Orpheus Media, which on Friday acquired a portion of Barcelona’s internal production company for $100 million, expressed his confidence that the team would now be able to field all of its stars, thanks to the deal.
