Co-host Australia and France contested neck-and-neck for a place in the semi-final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Both sides eschewed their brilliance throughout the 90 minutes and extra-time, but still they couldn’t submerge their opposition.

Alessia Russo took England into the lead with a delightful goal in the 63rd minute. She fired a great shot into the far bottom corner to score her second goal for the tournament.

After 90 minutes of action, England came out victorious and they have earned progress into the Semi-final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Throughout the 90 minutes of action, no yellow card was dished out by United States Of America Referee Ekaterina Koroleva.
