Jose Mourinho is one step away from going into another European Cup final after AS Roma defeated Bayern Leverkusen in the Europa League semi-finals.

Edoardo Bove’s second-half goal was enough to give AS Roma a victory in Italy in front of their fans.

Jose Mourinho sent out his team with a better defensive strategy against a more possession-oriented team coached by Xabi Alonso.

Bayern Leverkusen tried to score very early in the first half with Florian Wirtz playing the ball wide from outside the box. It was a shot off target and the AS Roma defenders do not seem to be concern about it.

In the 19th minute, AS Roma’s Bryan Cristante missed a sitter from six yards in the box. He should have scored that but was really disappointed for missing.

There was a little bit of delay in the first half due to Bayern Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou going down after suffering an injury from a dangerous tackle.

With so many spaces given by the AS Roma midfielder, Bayern Leverkusen had an attempt in the extra minute of the first half. Bayern Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba hit the ball from outside, but it went wide.

Edoardo Bove gave Jose Mourinho a big smile on his face after breaking the dreadlock with a beautiful left-footed strike into the bottom corner, with the rival club’s goalkeeper having no chance of stopping the ball.
