Premier League giants Arsenal have tabled a second official bid for Jurrien Timber estimated to be about €45/48 million.

Timber has agreed personal terms with the Gunners and he is expected to reportedly pen a five-year-deal with the club.

The North London side feel they are edging closer to agreeing a fee with Ajax as they intend to secure the services of the Dutchman.

Jurrien Timber will supposedly earn a minimum of £90,000 weekly at Arsenal, an amount which could rise to about £120,000 weekly due to inclusion of performance based bonuses.

Arsenal have returned with a second bid for Jurrien Timber

The initial £30 million offer from the Premier League runners up was turned down by Ajax last week but Mikel Arteta’s side have returned with an improved offer.

It has been reported that the Dutch giants have pegged a £50 million price tag on Timber and they will sell to any club that meets their valuation.

However, Arsenal are optimistic of reaching a middle ground with Ajax for the sale of the 22-year-old.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jurrien Timber only wants a move to Arsenal as he is fascinated with the ongoing project at the Emirates Stadium side.

He also feels joining the 13-time top division champions will be beneficial for his career at this stage.

The Ajax Amsterdam academy graduate alongside Kai Havertz and Declan Rice are viewed as Mikel Arteta’s top targets this summer.

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Chelsea estimated to be about £70 million for the transfer of Havertz and he will join the North London side in the next few days.

Mikel Arteta’s side are still discussing with West Ham United for the transfer of Declan Rice, having had two bids rejected already.

The North London side are reportedly preparing a third bid, which will be closer to the £100 million offer demanded by West Ham United.

Declan Rice is also believed to be keen on joining Arsenal amid interest from Manchester City.

The potential additions of Jurrien Timber, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice will massively bolster the squad as they prepare to launch an assault on the Premier League title.
