The prolific winger and fast-rising star rend the hearts of Arsenal fans after he missed a golden chance to extend Arsenal’s lead at the London Stadium.

A quickfire doubled Gunners’ lead in the 7th and 19th minutes which set the Premier League title hopefuls en route to derby victory.

Arsenal went into the break with a 2-1 lead and had a golden chance to extend the lead again early in the second half when West Ham conceded a penalty with a handball after VAR check.

Bukayo Saka stepped up to take the spotkick and ended up firing wide off target.

Few minutes after the missed spotkick, Jarrod Bowen crashed in the equaliser to level the scores for West Ham.

Arsenal dropped precious two points in the Premier title race in what turned out to be a disappointing game against relegation-trapped West Ham at London Stadium.

Bukayo Saka’s missed penalty would have been a deal-breaker but the England star stumbled with the chance and misfire.

Arsenal fail to complete a double over their London rivals and also opened further the title race to the challenge by Manchester City.

After the game, Bukayo Saka took to his social media handle to apologize to Arsenal fans for his missed penalty.

He took responsibility for Arsenal’s loss and also pledged to make amends and return to winning ways.

“Regardless of the outcome, I will always accept my responsibility. Apologies Gunners. I’ll do everything I can to make it right.”

Arsenal fans immediately took to the comment section to react to Bukayo Saka’s apology.

A fan wrote, “apology accepted. We are winning this league together.”

Another wrote, “our star boy, we got this.”

Another added, “stay strong.”

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka has been a prolific playmaker in the revived Arsenal squad under Mikel Arteta.

Saka is among the top rated Arsenal stars leading the charge to end Arsenal’s 19 years wait for the Premier League trophy.

He has played all 31 Premier League games for Arsenal, starting most games, and has scored 12 goals with 10 assists.

Arsenal still stay top of the Premier League table with 74 points from 31 games, 4 points clear of Manchester City who have played a game less.

They will face Southampton in their next Premier League clash before a trip to Etihad to face City in what could be referred to as title-decider.
