The situation is getting dicey at Amsterdam as Antony has released a statement after this club rejected Manchester United’s new bid. The Red Devils have placed another £76m bid for Antony in an attempt to close up the deal before the end of the transfer window.

The Dutch Champions are not ready to sell the highly-rated Brazilian forward while the youngster has been pushing earnestly for a move to the Premier League, specifically Old Trafford.

He has already agreed on a five-year contract with Manchester United and is scouring for a place of residence.

Antony was left out of Ajax’s squad against Rotterdam and will subsequently not feature against Utrecht this week.

The Dutch Champions have maintained that he is not for sale. Meanwhile, they have set an astonishingly high price tag (£84m) for the player to deflect off interest from Manchester United.

With few days remaining, Ajax’s interest in Hakim Ziyech is not likely to succeed after Chelsea spurned the loan move. Justin Kluivert and El Ghazi have also been on Ajax’s radar, but it appears the deals will not go through with a few days to go in the transfer market.

The Red Devils are not ready to back off, with the transfer market closing in a few days. Manchester United’s latest bid on Brazil forward has been rejected, and this has caused much problems for Antony, who is keen on a move and reunion with Erik Ten Hag.

In an exclusive interview with Fabrizio Romano, Antony has made his position clear on the transfer situation.

“My agents have arrived in Amsterdam since February of this year to let Ajax know of my intention to leave the club for a new challenge. Some clubs have arrived with big offers”, Antony discloses to Fabrizio Romano.

“Ajax had plans to renew my contract in the meetings we had with the club in the past months, but I made it known that I don’t want to renew my contract, and I am ready to leave.”

Antony emphasized his decision to leave the club in this summer transfer window after a meeting again with the club.

“In a meeting today, I have made my intentions clear that I want to leave, and they have a considerable offer on the table. Other offers have arrived at the club, but Ajax have refused to let me go because they say they have only 5 days to find a replacement.”

He went on to plead with Ajax to sell him as the transfer window closes soon.

“I am not telling them to release me, I am telling them to sell me,” he said.

He also highlighted his achievement with the club and his desire to try a new challenge

“I was very happy being in Amsterdam. I have made friends, built my career, and won titles, but now I want to follow my dreams, motivations, and stories. I want to be happy,” he added.

Ajax are hesitant about letting the 22-year-old go, but the youngsters is poised to join Manchester United. It is unclear whether Manchester United will be willing to meet Ajax’s reluctant price tag of £84m.

The coming days will be tense as the drama between Ajax, Antony, and Manchester United unfolds.
