The new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Antonio Conte has been cleared to take charge of the club against Vitesse Arnhem later today, November 4 at 21:00.
The Italian tactician was announced as the coach of the club on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, and his mission is to make the team title contenders.
His first duty is to lead the club to play against Vitesse Arnhem at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The Europa Conference League match is a must-win for the Premier League club that are currently sitting on the 3rd spot of the tournament’s Group G.
So far in the campaign, Tottenham Hotspur have recorded a defeat, a draw, and a win which is not good enough based on the performance of other teams above them in the group.
Tottenham Hotspur almost suffered a setback when it was not clear whether Antonio Conte would be able to get his visa approved ahead of the Europa Conference League game.
Fortunately for the Premier League club, Antonio Conte was able to get his visa approved ahead of the game which means that today’s game would be Conte’s first game in charge of Tottenham.
The Italian coach who have coached Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan has been given an 18-month deal at Tottenham Hotspur. He is expected to use the period to make Spurs a title-winning team.

Hugo Lloris believes Tottenham Hotspur would benefit from Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte is regarded as a serial winner because he always wins a title at any club he goes to. Recall that he helped Chelsea to win Premier League and FA Cup titles during his three years reign at the club. He also helped Inter Milan to win the Serie A title last season.
Based on his antecedents, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and captain, Hugo Lloris believe that the Italian coach would help the team to improve.
“He is very ambitious and he believes in all the players in the dressing room,” Lloris said. “He will give his best to help the club to improve and to give a proper structure to the team.
“Then as players, we need to demand more from each other. We need to show more responsibility for the clubs and fans.
“It is a great opportunity to work under one of the greatest managers of the last few years. Now is not the time for words. It is time to work.
“It is time to believe again in ourselves, our team, and our club. Step by step we will try to improve and reach the level that we should.
“The club showed the right direction. There is a lot of ambition for Tottenham and they try to provide the best for the players. But the players need to show their responsibility and they need to show their commitment. It is about finding the right connection together.”
