Manchester United winger Antony has been dropped from the senior men’s national team of Brazil with immediate effect.
This is coming to the fore due to allegations of assault and bodily harm that the Brazilian has been accused of.
Antony becomes the latest Manchester United star to be accused of domestic abuse, and this leaves a headache for the Old Trafford giants.
Gabriela Cavallin, the ex-girlfriend of Antony has alleged that the Brazil international attacked her while she was pregnant.
Additionally, Gabriela also claimed that the winger gruesomely attacked her, damaging her breast implant, and injuring her.
The Brazilian woman also shared that Antony threatened to eject her out of a car that was fully in motion.
The 23-year-old joined Manchester United on August 30, 2022, from Ajax for a fee of €95 million.
Antony has been under public scrutiny since he joined the Old Trafford giants, as he hasn’t delivered up to expectations.
In a statement released recently by the former Sao Paulo player, he denied the allegations leveled against him by Gabriela Cavallin.

Excerpt from a statement released on Monday, September 4, 2023, reads: “I can say with confidence that the accusations are false,” he wrote on social media.
“My relationship with Ms Gabriela was tumultuous, with verbal offenses from both sides, but I never practiced any physical aggression.”
Antony claims that the Brazilian lady “presents a different version” of the allegations whenever she is being interviewed or questioned.
Antony’s ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin has informed the Greater Manchester Police about the incident, having initially tabled four allegations to authorities in Sao Paulo, in June 2023.
She gave an explicit exposé to Brazilian website UOL on Monday, September 4, 2023, detailing her travails in the relationship.
Gabriela Cavallin shared Whatsapp screenshots and pictures of her injuries, and she alleges that Antony last attacked her in May 2022.
The 22-year-old claims that the Manchester United winger intimidated her with a glass and she had a cut on her finger while trying to defend herself.

In an interview aired on TV in June 2023, Gabriela expressed that Antony locked her in their apartment in Manchester while they were still dating, and injured her.
She said: “I was really scared that I wouldn’t be able to get out of the house.
“Antony locked the door and wouldn’t let me go out. I had my finger open, all hurt. He broke my things, took my passport.”
Meanwhile, Brazil dropped the Sao Paulo-born player from their star-studded squad, replacing him with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
The 5-time FIFA World Cup champions will play against Bolivia and Peru on Saturday, September 9, 2023, and Wednesday, September 13, 2023, respectively.

Regarding their decision to drop Antony, Brazil put out a statement that reads: “In light of the facts which came to light on Monday concerning Manchester United player Anthony, which must be investigated, and in order to safeguard the alleged victim, the player, the Brazilian national team and the CBF, the organization informs that Antony has been removed from the Brazilian national team.”
The 23-year-old has made 16 appearances for Brazil, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists across all competitions.
