In a very one-sided affair, Barcelona forward Ansu Fati broke a 95-year record to become Spain’s youngest goalscorer as Spain crush Ukraine 4-0 at the Estadio Alfredo de Stefano grounds.

The match was off to a flyer when Barcelona wonderkid, Ansu Fati, was brought down barely three minutes into the game.

World-class defender, Sergio Ramos stepped-up to cooly slot home his seventh penalty in a row and give the Spaniards a 1-0 lead in the third minute.

The Real Madrid defender then quickly doubled the home side’s advantage with a header in the 29th minute following an assist from RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo.

Sergio Ramos continues to make a mark with his offensive capabilities, as his record in front of goal grew more impressive.

The 34-year-old has now scored 23 goals for the Spanish national team has overtaken Daniel Passarella’s record as international football’s most prolific defender.

Ansu Fati, who became the youngest player to start a Nations League match, also became Spains youngest ever goalscorer as he curled home a sweetly struck effort off the post and into the net in the 32nd-minute.

Juan Errazquin was the previous record holder, having scored at the age of 18 years and 344 days against Switzerland in 1925.

Aged 17 years and 311 days, Spain youngster Ansu Fati is also Barcelona’s youngest scorer in La Liga and the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history.

Manchester City new boy Ferran Torres come on as a late substitute and rounded-up a dominating La Roja performance with a goal 10 minutes later.

The ball fell to him in the box off a Ukraine head, and he calmly guided his shot past Ukraine shot-stopper Pyatov and into the back of the net.

The Spaniards had a couple of chances to increase their lead to five but failed to make them count.

Ukraine came close to a consolation goal in the final minute when Yaremchuk was given space in the box to turn and fire goal-wards. However, his unconvincingly struck effort caused no worry for Spain No. 1, David de Gea.

In a dominating performance, Spain had 25 attempts this evening, with ten of them on target while Ukraine only managed four shots the entire game, with just two on target.
