Ange Postecoglou was relatively positive in his reaction to Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the North London derby on September 24, 2023.

He praised his team’s performance and said that they were unfortunate not to win.

“I’m particularly pleased with the way we played in the second half. We came out with a lot of intensity and we put Arsenal under a lot of pressure. We deserved to win the game, but unfortunately we didn’t.

“Overall, I’m very happy with the team. We showed great spirit and determination. We played some excellent football and we created a number of chances. We just need to be more clinical in front of goal.

“This is a point gained rather than two points lost. We’re unbeaten in six games now and we’re playing with a lot of confidence. We’re in a good place.”

Postecoglou also praised Son Heung-min for his two goals. Son scored both of Tottenham’s goals in the match and was a constant threat to the Arsenal defence.

“Son is a world-class player,” Postecoglou said. “He is one of the best players in the Premier League. He is a constant threat to the opposition and he is very difficult to defend against.

“Son is also a great team player. He works hard for the team and he is always willing to help out his teammates. He is a very important player for us.”
