Jay Z is now Vinicius Jr’s football agent after he expanded the reach of his top-rated football agency Roc Nation Sports International to the shores of South American football.
The American wrapper, songwriter, and football investor will now be leading one of the biggest mergers of football firms with a number of top black players as clients as he buys off Brazil football firm, TFM.
The acquisition which was reportedly completed on Friday, July 6, will see the American hip-hop artist and business mogul take his Roc Nation Sports fully into South American football market burgeoning with young talents.
It is understood TFM will be renamed Roc Nation Sports Brazil following the acquisition and will be headquartered in Sao Paulo. Also, Frederic Pena, who was the founder of TFM will head Roc Nations Sports Brazil while Jay Z will play more of a representative role.
The merger has been seen as a big milestone in Roc Nation Sports evolution, who previously limited their sphere of operations to American sports.
Apart from the business interests and drive for growth, it is believed Roc Nation Sports’ stringent anti-racism stance and strong affinity with black players have played a role in the merger.
Roc Nation Sports led the advocacy against racism in Italy when Romelu Lukaku, one of their clients, suffered racial attack from Juventus fans during Italy cup clash with Juventus.
Led by Jay Z, the agency bought a full page ads space in Italian newspaper and called for an end to all forms of racism in football.
Back in May when Vinicius Jr got embroiled in racial row in La Liga, the Brazil star attracted empathy from celebrities across the world, including Jay Z.
The pair met in London and posed together that same month during Beyonce’s Renaissance tour.
Coincidentally, Roc Nation Sports and TFM merger has now made Jay Z a football agent for the Real Madrid star.
The defunct TFM football agency conducted business for high profile football stars of Brazil origin such as Vinicius Jr, Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal, and Endrick, who has sealed a deal with Real Madrid to join the club in 2024.
Roc Nation Sports Brazil will now take charge of businesses for all the listed black players with more names expected to be added to the lists.

The financial figures of the merger is yet to be disclosed but according to reports, Jay Z acquired 51% of TFM with a sharp increase expected in his $2.5bn net worth following the merger.
