Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson Becker has revealed that he and his club are not planning to win only the Premier League this season, their goal is to win all the titles they are involved in.

Alisson Becker believes that Liverpool are good enough to contend for the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup.

Recall that Liverpool started the 2021-2022 season like a house on fire to the extent they defeated Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford on October 24.

Their form this season is not limited to the Premier League, they have been doing well in other tournaments especially in the UEFA Champions League where they defeated all the clubs in their group which include Porto, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid.

They are so good that they were among the first club to qualify for the next round of the Champions League even though they fell into the so-called group of death (Group B).

However, Liverpool’s consistency was questioned in the Premier League when they faced Brighton on October 30. Brighton forced Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Anfield which was a major setback for Liverpool’s quest to remain on the first spot.

On November 7, Liverpool encountered a bigger blow when they faced West Ham United at London Stadium. To the dismay of Liverpool’s fans, West Ham defeated the Merseyside club 3-2.

The defeat did not only widen the gap between first-placed Chelsea and Liverpool, but it also pushed Jurgen Klopp and his boys down to the 4th spot with 22 points in 11 games, four points away from Chelsea.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, they will host Arsenal at Anfield immediately after the international break. Arsenal have been enjoying superb form lately which means that they will be trouble for any team they come across.

Arsenal’s fortunes have improved so much that they have jumped from the relegation zone to the 5th spot, just two points below Liverpool. This means that if Arsenal manage to beat Liverpool on November 20, the North London club would replace Liverpool on the 4th spot.

But Alisson Becker is not worried about Liverpool dwindling form in the Premier League. The 29-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper believes that his team would win the Premier League title this season and even more.

“It’s about more than that, to be honest. We want more,” Alisson told Liverpool FC magazine

“Of course we want to win all the tournaments that we play in. We want to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup – all the tournaments that we can play in.

“This should be the goal and the target for everybody for a team like us. But we have to take it game by game and we must be focused on our jobs to do 100 percent what we have to do.”

Alisson Becker has played 14 times for Liverpool this season. In those games, the Brazil international has conceded 16 goals and has managed to record 6 clean sheets in all competitions.
