The former South African professional footballer turned manager guided Al Ahli to promotion to Saudi Pro League in his first season in charge. Sources close to the Saudi club revealed Pitso John Hamilton Mosimane left his role because of his unpaid salaries and allowances, including that of his staff.

The CAF Champions League winner and former Supersport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Al Ahly manager is currently managing Al Wahda FC in the United Arabs Emirate.

Before his departure, Pitso John Hamilton Mosimane won the Saudi First Division with Al Ahli and was one of their best managers with a win percentage of 65%.

Following his departure, Al Ahli are now in search of a new manager to take charge of the club’s dugout.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club are closing in on a move to poach RB Salzburg manager, Matthias Jaissle, 35, from the Austrian Bundesliga to Saudi Pro League.
