Aguero and Stones will not play against Arsenal on Sunday

Sergio Aguero and John Stones will not play the Premier League clash with Arsenal this weekend as Pep Guardiola confirmed.

Manchester City active striker, Aguero has missed past five matches due to a thigh injury. While Stones suffers a muscular pain in the last 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.

The duo is not fit to return for the trip to Emirates Stadium on Sunday. While David Silva is also doubtful after skipping training on Thursday and Friday.

Will Man City rely on a miracle to win the match with the Gunners? Guardiola is lacking behind Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the title race. As the City sits third with 14 points below the Reds at the top of the league table.

Arsenal, on the other hand, returns to their winning path after beating West Ham 3-1 on Monday. Freddie Ljungberg upon becoming an Interim after sacking Unai Emery have only won a match out of four.

Manchester City to play Arsenal without Aguero, Stones, and David Silva might not be part of the game also.

Guardiola reveals through his pre-match news conference that “Stones has got a muscular injury. I don’t know when he will be back, Sergio still hasn’t trained with the team”.

Argentinian striker, Sergio Aguero will miss the match against Arsenal on Sunday.

“David is not fit. Yesterday and today he could not train so we’ll see tomorrow. He got a kick in the leg. it was painful, but not a big issue.”

The possible absence of Silva could make Phil Foden start for a second-time game running.

Silva’s possible absence could pave the way for Phil Foden to start for a second game running.

The 19-year-old had a goal in the 4-1 Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb. And Guardiola is confident about the youngster’s ability.

Having played in 50 games involving top Europe teams, the City boss believes so much in his incredible displays. He says Foden may not be playing full time on the pitch yet but will be regular soon.

The showdown on Sunday will be amazing, the Gunners is aiming at keeping their head up. While the City is focusing on restoring its earlier imbalances.
