AC Milan welcome Paris Saint-Germain at the San Siro stadium in a Champions League group F encounter featuring the first and worst teams in the group.

PSG condemned AC Milan to a 3-0 win the last time the two teams met two weeks ago, leaving their hosts at risk of a premature exit from European football entirely.

Match Preview

Paris Saint-Germain, Group F leaders, travel to San Siro on Tuesday with the intention of dashing Milan’s chances of advancing to the Champions League knockout stages.

PSG lost 4-1 away to Newcastle United on matchday 2 and Luis Enrique’s team went on to win convincingly at home against Milan and Dortmund.

The win against the Italian and German side meant that PSG are currently two-point off at the top of Group F.

AC Milan on the other hand have failed to win a game or even score a goal in the Champions League this season, despite having the fifth-highest total of shots (50) during the entire competition.

Italian giants AC Milan and Portuguese side Benfica are the only two sides left in the group stage without a goal for their teams.

They have also failed to score in their previous two home Champions League games, drawing 0-0 with Newcastle in their opening group stage and losing to rivals Inter Milan in the semi-final of the previous campaign.

However, they have never failed to score in three straight Champions League home games and this is their worst form in the competition.

Their visitors, PSG, lead Group F with six goals; three of those goals were provided by Warren Zaïre-Emery. While AC Milan are unable to score a goal at the moment.

PSG enter Tuesday’s tie on the back of a fantastic five-game victorious run.

The outcome at San Siro on Matchday 3 was different from the two clubs’ previous meetings since AC Milan had never blanked PSG before, having won all four of their encounters in the group stage and semifinals, respectively, in the 1994–1995 and 2000–01 seasons.

AC Milan vs PSG Team News

Pierre Kalulu has been sidelined for four months after a tendon injury, center-back Simon Kjaer might also not start as the Milan injury list piles up.

Ismael Bennacer (knee), Mattia Caldara (ankle), Marco Pellegrino (heel), and Marco Sportiello (calf) are also sidelined for the devastated Rossoneri.

The Italian side also had to play without Theo Hernandez over the weekend due to an ankle damage.

AC Milan’s boss Pioli is hopeful that Hernandez will recover from his injury in time for Tuesday’s game. Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze may also return after taking precautionary breaks over the weekend.

Before facing Montpellier, PSG also faced a new setback to their defense when it was discovered that Danilo Pereira had a hamstring injury.

And this will however prevent the adaptable Portuguese player from playing until the end of November’s international break.

Not only will Nuno Mendes (hamstring), Sergio Rico (head trauma), and Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles) not be returning anytime soon, but Marco Asensio (foot injury) and Keylor Navas (back issue) should also prevent both players from playing for the time being.

Probable Line-Up

AC Milan probable starting lineup:

Paris Saint-Germain probable starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, L. Hernandez; Dembele, Ugarte, Zaire-Emery, Lee; Kolo Muani, Mbappe
