Current Serie A champions, AC Milan have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Manchester City’s striker Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian forward will be looking to join a new club as his current contract at Manchester City will expire next year. Although Man City has tried to renew his contract, Jesus is not ready to do that.
Many sources reveal that Man City wants to improve his current deal which will tempt him to stay but the attempt has all failed. Gabriel Jesus hasn’t been regular on the team since joining them.
He had to compete with Aguero for the center-forward position but it was difficult to break through. Even after Aguero left the club for Barcelona, Jesus still didn’t get more playing time. Pep Guardiola decided to play most of their last season’s games without a center forward forcing Jesus to play mostly on the right flank.
Jesus was amazing for the team but not from his main position. He helped the team in winning games last season against big teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
Jesus was also a starter in these top games for Manchester City and his performance is one of the reasons why many clubs wants to sign him. The 25-years-old has told his reps to start looking for the best option for him. Both teams from England, Spain and Italy have shown interest.
However, Arsenal have been the favorites to land the Brazilian star player to their team. Even though they won’t be part of next season’s Champions League competition, they are hopeful that Jesus will join them at least to get more game time. Other teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are all interested in him.
Chelsea want him as a replacement for Lukaku who is set to rejoin Inter Milan next season. Real Madrid’s coach is a big fan of the player and both Barcelona and Juventus need him to strengthen their forward area.
But the Serie A champions, AC Milan have joined the pursuit and they have scouts watching the player. Jesus has once revealed that he is a fan of AC Milan and the club’s recent interest in signing him might work out.
The Brazilian forward loved AC Milan right from the days of Brazilian legend Ronaldo. Gabriel Jesus has also made it clear to Manchester City and other clubs that he’s ready to leave the Manchester side if a good offer comes.
