Following Manchester United’s humbling 4-0 Premier League defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, former winger Gordon Hill questioned interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s abilities. Moises Caicedo Who had been abysmal at the Amex, struck to add to the misery of the Red Devils, who had been abysmal at the Amex.

Their slender UEFA Champions League ambitions were officially dashed. With one game remaining, they will finish with the lowest league point total in Premier League history, with only 58. After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired in November, Ralf Rangnick took over, but Manchester United’s results did not improve under the former RB Leipzig manager.

They continued to go through the motions, pushing the club’s executives to hunt for a permanent replacement. Rangnick is scheduled to continue in a consultant capacity for United while also taking on the post of Austrian national team management, with Erik ten Hag set to succeed him in the summer.

Hill, on the other hand, has questioned Rangnick’s credentials following a terrible season, particularly after Saturday’s humiliation at Brighton. And this man is going to be a consultant for us and manager of Austria; wow, football has gone to pot,” Gordon Hill lamented.

Ralf Rangnick arrived at Manchester United with a strong track record of developing young players, implementing an offensive mentality, and coaching fellow German coaches Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel. However, after a poor last six months in charge of the Red Devils, who are still searching for their identity, that has taken a hit.

On May 22, he will play his final game as manager of the club against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Manchester United can’t wait to start the 2022-23 season under new boss Ten Hag after yet another disastrous season with poor gameplays and so many conceded goals. The Dutchman, who has carved out a niche for himself at Ajax over the last five years, has high ambitions.

United are also likely to see a player exodus as several from their present squad are expected to depart, while Ten Hag will search for new recruits. He faces a tremendous rebuilding challenge ahead of him, but Manchester United fans are already excited.
