Newcastle United defender, Kieran Tripper has been helping the Premier League club to fight relegation since he joined the club from Atletico Madrid. But his effort has to be put on hold due to a fractured born in his foot.
Kieran Tripper who left Tottenham Hotspur for Atletico Madrid on July 17, 2019, has always wanted to return to the Premier League since the 2020-2021 season. Initially, Manchester United wanted to sign him but Atletico Madrid turned down the offer.
However, when Newcastle United came for him, the Spanish La Liga side agreed to let him go for a transfer fee worth €15 million.
The fact that Kieran Trippier agreed to join Newcastle United at the point the Premier League club was rooted at the bottom of the league table, made many wonder why he left the Spanish La Liga giants for a relegation-threatened club.
However, Kieran Trippier has been able to prove that he is a player on a mission to rescue Newcastle United from the relegation waters as he has consistently helped the Premier League club to win matches since he joined the struggling side.
Since the arrival of the 31-year-old English right-back at Newcastle United, Trippier has scored two goals via free-kicks in four games. The two goals have helped the club in its fight for survival.

While commenting on the steady progress of Newcastle United, the coach of the club, Eddie Howe said the club started enjoying a turnaround after a series of hard work.
“We’ve worked incredibly hard,” the coach said. “In the last three games, I don’t think there’s been any secret to how we’ve won the games.
“I don’t think they’ve been fluent footballing performances where we’ve played from back to front and all the things that we potentially want to do in the future but it’s been very disciplined, hard-working, a lot of energy, a lot of teamwork, team spirit, the togetherness that have made the difference for us.
“So big compliments for everyone for that because that’s sometimes the hardest thing to deliver consistently.”
Update on the injury of Kieran Tripper
Kieran Tripper helped Newcastle United to win their Premier League game against Aston Villa with a 35th-minute free-kick.
Unfortunately for Newcastle United, coach Howe had to force Tripper out of the game in the 48th minute due to a foot injury.
Despite his early exit from the game, his teammates were able to maintain the one-goal lead until the game ended.
After the 1-0 win over Aston Villa, Newcastle United coach, Eddie Howe confirmed that an opposing player stepped on his foot which left him injured. He revealed that the player had to go to a hospital to carry out an x-ray on his foot.
The coach said: “Trippier got stamped on and he couldn’t continue with a problem on the top of his foot, so he’s gone for an X-ray at the hospital.
“We’re keeping everything crossed hoping that there’s no broken bone.
“Kieran’s been huge for us. We don’t want him to be out. He’s gone for a scan on his foot.”
Also, a statement from the club reads: “Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier is set to be sidelined for the club’s upcoming fixtures after fracturing a bone in his foot during Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
“Trippier underwent an X-ray immediately after the game and scans have shown a fracture to the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot.
“Everyone at the club wishes Kieran a speedy recovery.”
