Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is the first person on earth to have 400 million followers on Instagram. He achieved the feat less than a day after turning 37-year-old.
The Portuguese football star was the first footballer to have 200 and 300 million Instagram followers. He has followed that up with a milestone that has never been achieved by any person on the platform which is the 400 million mark.
Cristiano Ronaldo achieved the historic number of followers by just following 501 people who are mostly his teammates at Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and Portugal national team. Others are family members, close associates, and some brands he has deals with.
When the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner turned 37-year-old on February 5, 2022, he took to his social media pages to share a picture of himself and his pregnant fiancee Georgina Rodriguez sitting before a table. His birthday cake which came with his trademark CR7 was placed before them.
In the caption, the Portuguese football icon wrote: “Life is a roller coaster. Hard work, high speed, urgent goals, demanding expectations… But in the end, it all comes down to family, love, honesty, friendship, values that make it all worth it. Thanks for all the messages! 37 and counting!”

Georgina Rodriguez decided to gift Cristiano Ronaldo a brand new SUV to mark his 37th birthday. Recall that when Rodriguez turned 28-year-old on January 27, 2022, Ronaldo took her and the rest of the family to Dubai to give them a special treat.
As the saying goes, to whom much is given much is expected, Rodriguez who is expecting a boy and a girl later in the year decided to gift Ronaldo a car which is reportedly not in the European market.
According to reports, the SUV which is big enough to convey all of Ronaldo’s children – Cristiano Jr., Eva, Mateo, and Martina, is worth £150,000.
During the weekend, a picture showing when Ronaldo kissed his damsel after receiving the car gift surfaced on the internet.
A picture of some of Ronaldo’s children chilling in the new car has also gone viral which means that the football star who has a garage of supercars worth £18.2 million is cool with the gift.
The fact that Rodriguez was able to spare £150,000 to buy her lover a car, means that the Argentine-born damsel is really making cool cash from her recently-premiered Netflix show ‘I Am Georgina’.
Before that, her affiliation with Ronaldo has escalated her Instagram followers and turned her into an influencer which seems to be her major source of income aside from the allowance from her lover.
