Donny van de Beek of Manchester United have joined Premier League side Everton as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
Donny Van de Beek was set to join Crystal Palace on loan after manager Patrick Viera pushed for a transfer, but it now seems like Donny will be joining new Everton boss Frank Lampard.
Frank Lampard will sign his contract as new Everton manager today, according to Fabrizio Romano, after a verbal agreement reached on Friday.
He’s already on the lookout for fresh signings, attempting to beat Crystal Palace to Donny van de Beek, who is on loan from Manchester United.
Everton and Manchester United have agreed to a straight loan deal in which Everton would pay 100 percent of the wages until June. It’s now up to the player to choose between Crystal Palace and Everton. In the next hours, Van de Beek will choose his next club.
Van de Beek, who joined United in the summer of 2020 for £39 million from Ajax, has battled to get into the first team at Old Trafford.
Despite scoring on his debut for the club, which happened to be against Palace, he has been a little player under both current interim manager Ralf Rangnick and previous boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer is said to have misled Van van Beek after promising him playing time. Van van Beek, on the other hand, has failed to make an impression under Rangnick, having appeared in just 380 minutes of Premier League action this season.
He has had two goals and two assists in 50 appearances for United.
Van van Beek’s goal is to play more regular first-team football, and even if that means leaving Old Trafford, his value is anticipated to be steady throughout the summer.
Regardless, after the season is finished and United has chosen a new manager, Van de Beek’s status will be re-evaluated.
