Manchester United winger, Marcus Rashford has reunited with his childhood lover, Lucia Loi eight months after the two lovers ended their 8-year-old relationship.
Marcus Rashford and Lucia Loi have been dating since they were in school. She was staying at the apartment of the English football star in Manchester until mid-2021 when they both decided to part ways.
Reports in the United Kingdom claimed that the two lovers broke up weeks before Euro 2020 which started in June and ended in July 2021.
During that period, Premier League players including Rashford were under strict coronavirus restriction which was believed to be a big setback for his relationship with Lucia.
Aside from that, the 24-year-old England international was heavily involved in a campaign centered around feeding less privileged children in the UK; hence, the footballer had lesser time to spend with his lover.
According to sources close to the two lovers, their breakup was mutual and didn’t stop them from keeping in touch even though Lucia had to leave Rashford’s apartment.
Then, it was predicted that they would get back together due to how fond they are of each other and the prediction came to pass late last year.
According to a report by The Sun, Marcus Rashford who has been battling a poor run of form so far this season reunited with Lucia a few days to 2021 Christmas.
To prove that they are back together, Lucia was seen getting into Marcus Rashford’s car after Wolves’ victory over Manchester United on January 3.
To further prove that they are back together in full swing, Lucia took to her Instagram story to post a picture showing Rashford’s hand resting on her boot.
A source closed to the two lovers confirmed that the two lovebirds are back but they are trying to take things a bit slow while the footballer continues to concentrate on his football career and Lucia continues to build her career in Public Relations.
According to The Sun, a source said: “The intent for them to get back together has always been there. The break was good for their relationship as it offered them both space and assurance that they wanted to make this work moving forward.
“They have been together since school so an opportunity to breathe and focus on themselves was important.”
While another source said: “They have a shared history. She is one of the people who know him best. They got back together before Christmas and are taking things slowly.
“But they make each other happy and he knows she is loyal and he can trust her.”
